WESTERPLATTE

Westerplatte is a world famous peninsula in Gdańsk. In this place, in 1926-1939, a military transit depot was operating. In September 1939, a defense of Westerplatte became one of the most important and best known symbols of Poland's resistance against the Nazi invasion.

Westerplatte is an extremely important point on the map of history. It has become an obligatory point for many tourists and trips, a place to find out how heroically Poland's freedom was defended.
